Family Service of Chester County is seeking licensed applicants for the position of Family Counselor in our Counseling Program. This is a 37.5 hour per week position with benefits (retirement, health insurance w/ vision and dental, FSA, 6 weeks paid vacation/year). Our program has a reputation for its supportive culture that prioritizes preventing burnout among staff and giving high-quality care to clients who would otherwise be unable to access it.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping underserved individuals and families through counseling. Ideal candidates would have a Master’s in Social Work or related degree, at least 2 years’ experience providing psychotherapy, as well as strong clinical skills. Applicants must have a PA license, preferably LCSW, although related mental health licenses will be considered.
Ability to speak fluent Spanish would be a plus but is not required.
The counselor’s primary responsibilities include providing individual, family, couples, co-parent, and group counseling services at the main office and at least one branch office, formulating psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans with clients, carrying out the treatment process, evaluating the course and results of treatment, maintaining client records and charting in a timely manner, attending clinical staff meetings, and meeting productivity standards.
