Family Service of Chester County is seeking licensed applicants for the position of Counselor in our Counseling Program. This is a 37.5 hour per week position with great benefits (retirement, health insurance w/ vision and dental, FSA, 6 weeks paid vacation/year). Our program has a reputation for its supportive culture that prioritizes preventing burnout among staff and giving high-quality care to clients who would otherwise be unable to access it.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping underserved individuals and families through counseling. Ideal candidates would have a Master’s in Social Work or related degree, at least 2 years’ experience providing psychotherapy, as well as strong clinical skills. Applicants must have a PA license, preferably LCSW, although related mental health licenses will be considered.

Ability to speak fluent Spanish would be a plus but is not required.

The counselor’s primary responsibilities include providing individual, family, couples, co-parent, and group counseling services both in our office and remotely, formulating psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans with clients, carrying out the treatment process, evaluating the course and results of treatment, maintaining client records and charting in a timely manner, attending clinical staff meetings, and meeting productivity standards.

School-Based Therapist:

Family Service of Chester County is seeking a Master's level therapist for our Counseling Program’s partnership with the Kennett Consolidated School District. This is a 37.5 hour position with benefits, paid time off (including 6 weeks of vacation), and competitive pay. Weekly individual and group supervision will be provided. The therapist will see children in their local high school and elementary schools, year-round.

We are looking for an individual who is energetic, motivated, and enthusiastic about helping underserved individuals and families through psychotherapy. Candidates must have a Master’s in Social Work or related degree, and have strong clinical skills. Must have experience working with children or adolescents, preferably 2+ years. Must be comfortable in working on a team and addressing suicidality. Spanish-language skills preferred but not required. Experience working in schools is a bonus.

The Exchange Club Family Center is seeking to hire two (Case Manager (full time)

Job Summary

The Exchange Club Family Center (ECFC) is seeking compassionate individual to work with families throughout Chester County to alleviate the risk factors associated with child abuse and neglect.  ECFC is part of a nationwide network of child abuse centers that provides a  parenting support program to promote positive parent-child relationships, enhance parental self-sufficiency and prevent child abuse and neglect. This position provides individual case management to families with children ages 0 -12 and will accept referrals from Chester County Department of Children, Youth and Families. Requires home visits with families  to ensure the safety of family members and empower the parents/caregivers to care for their children with the goal of preventing out of home placement.This is a full time position at 37.5 hours/week with benefits, including health insurance with vision and dental, FSA, retirement, and paid vacation/holidays equal to 7 weeks. Base Salary: $40,000-$42,000 based on experience and credentials


  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services or Counseling.
  • Experience Working with Families and Children Preferred.
  • Child Abuse, State Police Criminal History and FBI clearances.
  • Valid Driver’s License and use of private vehicle.
