A quick Q & A with ZOOM

Q: What is ZOOM?

A: ZOOM Is our brand new pilot transportation program, partnering with area social service agencies to get their clients where they need to go. ZOOM drivers help clients receive transport to essential care within the County. Our ZOOM drivers will use our web based system to choose the rides they can provide—to medical and other stressful appointments where a timely ride from a friendly caring person means a lot.

Q: Can you give me examples?

A: If you volunteer to drive with ZOOM you could assist a pregnant mother with getting to Chester County hospital for pre-natal care.

Or you could help a local mother who needs to get her newborn to an important 3-day old wellness check.

You may even drive a single parent to a job interview.

With ZOOM the volunteer possibilities are endless. YOU can be the caring friend who provides transportation as a ZOOM Volunteer Driver.

Q: How will it work?

A: Drivers are encouraged to go online regularly, either via your home computer or your cell phone, to self-select rides they can provide.  When a ride is accepted, the Driver then contacts the Rider to arrange pick-up details.

Rides can be round-trip, or if an interval of wait-time is involved, could be one-way with another Driver providing the ride on the other end.  Rides are curb-to-curb.

Will YOU drive for us?
