Family Service of Chester County is seeking a licensed bilingual (Spanish-English) therapist

This is a full time position with benefits and generous PTO. The counselor will see children and adults, initially remotely due to COVID-19, but in the future both in our Chester County offices and at local schools.

We are looking for an individual who is energetic, motivated, and enthusiastic about counseling and about helping underserved individuals and families. Candidates should be fluent in Spanish, have a Master’s in Social Work or related degree, experience counseling children and youth, and strong clinical skills. Applicants must have a PA license, preferably LSW, LCSW or a related mental health license. The counselor is required to see clients at least three hours a week outside of regular business hours, either in the evening or weekday mornings before 9 am.

Prevention Education Specialist

A leading Non-Profit social service agency located in Chester County, seeks a qualified individual to facilitate an Evidence based intervention. Health Navigation Services (HNS) is a CDC approved

prevention program designed to assist persons living with HIV and those at elevated risk for acquiring the infection. This 30 hour per week position provides benefits which include liberal vacation, health insurance and a retirement plan. The position is located in Coatesville, PA, and is available immediately.Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and transportation.

Requirements: Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree preferred in social service, will accept High School Diploma. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. 

 The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, a willingness to perform community outreach, computer competence, and timely- accurate documentation of services provided. We are seeking a detailed oriented, energetic, self-motivated, enthusiastic Team member.

Work Location: Multiple locations, Must be able to offer Telehealth during COVID considerations 

Hours per week: Varies depending on the number of appointments

Family Service of Chester County has training affiliations with several area graduate schools and undergraduate social work programs, including Bryn Mawr College, Widener University, and West Chester University.

Internships include:

  • Counseling
  • Case management for child abuse prevention
  • Nonprofit development (grants writing, fundraising, web writing)
