The Family Service “Spirit”
Over the last few months, team members have engaged in a series of meetings discussing the vision and mission of Family Service. These conversations are helping to bring clarity and unity to our everyday activities. Team members made it clear that regardless of growth, change, or vision, one thing needs to stay the same - the Family Service “Spirit.” Mister Rogers said, “attitudes are caught, not taught,” and he was right. We work hard to create an atmosphere in which these values and ideas are brought to life. This intangible aspect of Family Service is what makes it an attractive place to work. Whether it's the “other” centered attitude or the realization we can do more together than individually. We believe if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
There is a certain air of expectancy which creates a vibrancy and positivity not found in this world. Clients clearly experience this from the moment they walk through the doors. A huge indicator of our success is found in the comfort of our clients. If they can be comfortable with us, they can begin to trust us. When you allow yourself to be vulnerable and share your struggles, you give others permission to let their guard down too. This is where the magic happens!
