Meg Pope is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Master’s degree from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research and she is a member of the Pennsylvania Society for Clinical Social Work.
Meg works with children, teenagers and adults in individual, couples, family and co-parent counseling:
“I strongly believe that a therapist and clients are partners who work together toward the client’s goals. I help clients recognize their strengths and use them to improve their lives. Because every client is unique, I use a variety of techniques, including acceptance and commitment therapy, psychoeducation, cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR and play therapy. I am particularly interested in relationship issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, parenting, divorce and life transitions.”
Meg also teaches the Children in the Middle parenting class to help Chester County parents who are involved in divorce and custody litigation to recognize and ease the stress children experience when parents do not live together.
And, Meg leads Child-Parent Enrichment groups to teach parents many of the techniques therapists use to strengthen the parent-child bond.
